CRPF: Central Reserve Police Force
CRPF stands for Central Reserve Police Force ( CRPF). This is a paramilitary group that is the biggest Central Armed Police Force in India. CRPF belongs to the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Governmentof India. Its primary function is to help states, union territories as also state and Union territories as along with governmentsin keeping the law and order in the respective areas. The headquarters of the CRPF is at New Delhi, India. Government of India has set the CRPR academy to provide education for students who wish to join the CRPF. As of July 2017, Sh Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar is the Director General of CRPF.

- "CRPF" is the name the organization was given. CRPF is the ancestor of"the" Crown Representative's Police (CRP) which was founded on the 27th of July 1939 in order to safeguard British citizens in states that were in danger of being attacked by India.
